Stretch Their Brain

This two minute commercial from Honda is a perfect example of what I have been blogging this week. Honda keeps us engaged for a full two minutes. You will not think about lunch, email, or your hot date tonight. You will be possessed with thoughts like, "How did they do that?". You will wonder if they used computer generated images. You will wonder if they are being honest. Your brain needs new ideas to chew on and this clip is full of them.

This clip took approximately six months to shoot. This was take number 606. They failed 605 times. The power of a new idea and the energy it can generate helped them get through the mistakes and difficult moments. Here's the best part. They purchased a few commercial spots to begin with but within a few days it went viral. One-seventh of the world's population (1 billion+ people) has watched this online. The return on Honda's investment has paid off!

So, what about your new ideas? What about your ideas that were rejected? Pull them out and dust them off. Can you promote them in a way that engages people and stretches their brains?
